The Story Behind Charlie’s Chip Shots for a Cause

Founded in 2024 as a benefit for Charlie Barton during what doctors expected to be a minimum three-year battle with leukemia, this tournament began as a way for our community to rally around one incredible kid.

Now, nearly two years since his diagnosis, Charlie is doing great and kicking cancer’s ass!

But what makes this event even more special is what happened next. As a young man, Charlie made it clear he didn’t want the tournament to be just about him. He wanted it to continue to support other kids and families facing the same illnesses and hardships.

Today, Charlie’s Chip Shots stands for something bigger. It’s a day of golf, music, and community built on resilience, generosity, and paying it forward.

Charlie looks forward to this day every year and can’t wait to be part of it again on August 15th, 2026!
